programmes. In addition the Trust raises funds for projects beyond the Hospital's doors within the Western Cape which will greatly impact paediatric healthcare and indirectly impact patient outcomes and services to the Hospital.
The Trust is funded from an endowment, ensuring that 100% of all donations received are used for the projects and programmes. The success of the Trust is as a result of the generosity of loyal donors. You too can support the work of the Trust by:
Becoming a Guardian
At the Children's Hospital Trust, a Guardian is an essential partner with a personal commitment to support the Trust's role in fundraising for the Trust's priority projects and programmes by donating R5 000 or more per annum. Whether an individual, a trust or a foundation, the collective giving of Guardians has the power to significantly impact on the lives of thousands of children in need of lifesaving medical services. Since the programme's inception in 2008 the Guardians, collectively, have become one of the Trust's largest donors.
Leaving a gift in your Will
Leaving a legacy to a charitable institution is a unique way to extend your hopes and beliefs beyond your own lifetime and to make a more substantial contribution than you might be able to now. The Trust's special Circle of Life programme brings together those who are planning to leave a legacy to the Trust and gives these special individuals an opportunity to get to know the inner workings of the Hospital, meet the dedicated staff and see first-hand some of the heart-warming miracles that take place at this amazing place of healing.
Joining the Grateful Hearts Community
The Grateful Hearts programme is not only for past patients and grateful families. It is for anyone whose life has been directly affected by the Hospital and who wishes to partner with the Children's Hospital Trust to keep the Hospital on the forefront of paediatric healthcare.
